Greta Joanne Entertainment is a New York based multi-media company pioneered by Angelique Monét. The companies mission is to produce entertaining media content for the general public, while hosting events and branding multi-cultural stories.The company has produced commercial television, film, music and special events. Gracie and Angel is one of the companies first projects which aired on Dove Communications television network. The children's show was geared toward self esteem awareness and is hosted by Angelique featuring her ventriloquist friend Gracie. In 2005 BitterSweet a short film written, produced, and co-directed by Angelique Monét was featured in the Cannes Short Film Corner. Greta Joanne Entertainment has two feature films to date. Deceptive an urban love triangle set within the music industry stars Shiek Mahmud-Bey (Buffalo Soldiers with Joaquin Phoenix, Sidney Lumet's Nightfalls on Manhattan and Leprechaun:Back 2 tha Hood) Angelique Monét (East New York), Jas Anderson (Brooklyn's Finest) and Meah Pace (TLC's R U the girl). The company fully funded the production and has planned a self-distribution route for the film scheduled this April.In 2009 Monét began feature production on her brainchild Engaging. The film stars Chiko Mendez (El Cantante), Angelique Monét, Latin music sensation Tito Puente Jr., Steven Bauer, Ángel Salazar (Scarface, Carlito's Way), Shiek Mahmud-Bey, Joe Manuella.comedian Guy Richards and reggaeton music sensation Jaquan. The supporting cast includes Alexandra Adomaitis, Acie Mitchell, Hal Kreitman, Lauren Logiudice, Noel Torres, Yelena Sobolevska, Jerry Russo, Al Burgo, Sal Richards and Rick Borgea.
THE VISIONARY
Angelique Monét, owner of Greta Joanne Entertainment is a former Ms. Black SC USA and the world's only black actress/ventriloquist. Starring in her own one woman Off-Broadway production Multiple Me, staged Theatre Row in New York City. Her children's television show, Gracie and Angel, aired on Dove Communications for a full season. Moving in front of the camera, Angelique became a Segment Producer/Hostess for NBC's Videomax, later performing similar work for ABC and CBS. Her first interview television show NYConnection, was syndicated on Time-Warners cable network. She interviewed entertainment pioneers such as Public Enemy, Dougie Fresh, Curtis Blow, DJ Red Alert, Ludacris, Raekwon, Charles Stone III, Tyson Beckford, Sheik Louch, Damon Dash, Wayne Wonder and Baby Cham. Moving to feature films, Angelique was cast in the supporting roll of 'Von' for York Entertainment's East New York, starring Remy Ma and Killah Priest. Her first directorial debut, a short film Bittersweet went to Cannes Film Festival SFC in 2005. Starting her own production company, Greta Joanne Entertainment set all her talents in motion toward a common goal. Advancing to Writer/Producer for her own feature film Deceptive, Angelique had the added responsibility of starring in the film. In 2010, Monét founded AM Releasings, her own distribution company and Deceptive was the companies debut film with a theatrical release in New York City from Oct. 29th to Nov. 4th 2010. The company has plans to resume the release in 2011 in select cities which include: Atlanta, Miami, Chicago, L.A., Washinton DC, Paris/France, U.K. and Accra/Ghana. Monét's most recent television work, The Angelique Monet Show, is a bi-monthly magazine show featuring celebrity interviews. Completing her first self-produced CD Not Wasting Time, Angelique moved into her long time passion of singing. Monét is a mixture of African-American, Latin, Native American, and Irish. November 2008 Angelique founded the first black film festival in the Hamptons Sag Harbor region of New York, the Hamptons Black International Film Festival (HBIFF). Her current feature film production Engaging, has the Latin community a buzz with excitement. Still in production with stars Chiko Mendez, Guy Richards, Tito Puente Jr., Steven Bauer, Ángel Salazar, Jayquan and Willie Panama fill out the cast working Angelique to bring her second feature to viewers worldwide. The cast has been seen and interviewed on Telemundo, The Miami International Film Festival Red Carpet Event and Your Entertainment Ticket (talk show) just to name a few.
